Harshit, 16, from Kurukshetra (Haryana), Class XII (IT Stream) student of Govt. Model Sr. Secondary School, reportedly received a phone call from Google in June offering a paid internship in California as a Graphic Designer. It was told that he would be paid Rs.4 lakh per month for 12 months of training after that he will get a salary package of Rs.12 lakh per month. He said that graphic designing is his passion and doing it for past 6 years. He appeared for the online interview for the post and selected as the basis of posters he created in his free time.
This news is exciting that an Indian boy bags a dream job in Google with a very high package. Every top local and national media houses pick up the news immediately and make Harshit a star overnight. But what happen next that changed the life of the boy and gives us a shock.
After the trending news all over the media. On Tuesday, Google denied having offered paid training and job to Harshit and clearly stated that they haven't any record of such type of job offer. Now the complete story turns out to be a hoax. But it doesn't go well with the boy who actually assume the fake offer as real one. According to his mother the incident devastated her son's life, peoples and relative how are praising and congratulating him for his success now taunting him. He is very depressed now and has been admitted to hospital.
It all happened when Harshit get a call that he has been selected as a graphic designer at Google. He informed the principle of his school. The principle without confirming the news, immediately released a press note regarding the job offer and it becomes complete mess and the news trending on all the local and national media publications.
